Angel warning of Celtic magic book.
76One afteroon about 11 years ago, my daughter was 7 years old and she wanted to take a nap with me in my big king sized bed. We had been cleaning house all morning and we were a little tired so I told her sure. I picked up my book about "Celtic Magic" that I had just bought at a nearby book store and hadn't had time to really sit down and read.
I was about half way through the book, really trying to concentrate and understand what it was all about and what I needed to do "candle magic", which I thought was harmless, eg. bringing back an old lover, more money etc.
Well, I fell asleep not long after reading chapter 8, but woke up to the loudest, growling voice in my right ear. I could open my eyes, but couldn't move my head up off the pillow or speak. I saw my daughter laying there sleeping and didn't know what in the world was happening!
The voice told me he was an angel and that I needed to burn or get rid of the book I was reading! Said that it was of Black magic, it was real witch craft and that I didn't know what I was doing and it was dangerous for me to learn a practice that I would regret for the rest of my life.. so on and so on!
The voice was a male, deep, and growling or harsh. All I could do was lay there and listen. He talked really fast and was warning me just as fast and harsh as he could. I knew it wasn't an evil entity or he wouldn't be warning me.
Crazy, but I didn't pick up the book for a week and left it by my bedside. By that next weekend, my friend from work had borrowed it and I told her what had happened to me, but she still wanted to read it. She left it in her car while at her boyfriend's house and her car engine caught on fire while they were asleep, so needless to say, the book burned with it. Pretty wild!
I haven't attempted to read about or try Celtic magic since then, but still love to burn candles just for the smell. I also gave up reading Tarot cards for people for fear of it coming back on me. Energy spreads too fast, so I fear that Karma, at least bad Karma might come back on me. I still get my Tarot read on a website...www.alisonday.com. I also like to go to www.soulgarden.tv for daily astro readings and Christopher Witecki is really good. He is also a pretty cool and funny guy! I'm not promoting, just sharing! Talk to you all later! Take care!

The sceptical part of me says this is a bit of a no-brainer. You're aware of your son praying for you to turn away from Celtic magic, and then you dream up an angel telling you to turn away from it as well. Your friend's engine catching on fire seems a big coincidence, but why would the angel tell you to destroy the book if it was going to be destroyed anyway?
Seems interesting you describe the angel's voice as "growling"... I've never thought of angels as having that kind of voice. Personally, I wouldn't trust Christian influences. Ever read their bible just from your own ordinary moral standpoint? I did a little of that, and found all sorts of ideas I found immoral, such as a man being willing to kill his child to prove his devotion to his god (even if he was ultimately stopped by his god, the test should have been along the lines of realising that by god's own laws, and perhaps his own pure heart, killing was prohibited.) Meanwhile, the gods of other religions are rarely much better. I will say that if someone's praying for you because they care about you, that can only be a good thing though, even if I might consider them misguided.
Were you actually going to do something immoral or selfish with this magic? I'm thinking that calling love to yourself can be selfish if you're not thinking about giving in return, or perhaps if you're not thinking of how people around you would be affected. Also money doesn't seem as important to me as wanting to find a role in society. My point is that selfish magic, even if it doesn't harm anyone else in the process, can have bad consequences... maybe the voice was warning you against that... maybe it suggested destroying the book because it promoted the idea of selfish uses for magic too much.
Anyway, that's my two cents.
What you described in your "encounter" is sleep paralysis. I deal with it constantly, myself. I always get strange noises when it happens and am unable to move. You should read up on it. I get growls, static noises, ringing, LOUD LOUD buzzing/vibrating (in my ears, head, and entire body). I did have one incident where there was a tall shadow figure in my room with red eyes.. no features, just a shadow.. and it was laughing hysterically (maniacally even) at me while I laid there and couldn't move. Sleep paralysis can be quite scary at times, but it can also be useful. Hope this helps! :)
I do not believe an angel would ever sound like that. Angels come to u in the form u are most comfortable...and angel would not put u in such a helpless postion of paralysis....perhaps.....the magic you were delving in is very ancient and very powerful...perhaps it was your spirit guide warning you that this magic was dangerous and unwise to play with as a toy and dabble in...yes its alluring and fascinating i understand but u were wise to lay it down..... Ancient celtic magic should be forbidden to be practiced unless blessed to do so.....
Not that I have ever had an angel appearing before me but I believe that for most people an angel is not in the comfort zone - it's an impressive experience. The first thing the angel usually says according to the bible is "Don't be afraid of me."
Not the angel is putting the person into paralysis but the action of reading a book on love and money spells which in fact is black magic - at least if you do it out of selfish reasons. Magic can indeed do a lot of harm, the egocentred mind is often enhanced if it is allowed to dwell on what the buddhists call the eight wordly concerns
(chasing after money - running away from poverty
chasing after fame - running away from slander
chasing after pleasure - running away from pain, etc.)
It is this habit of chasing after something and running away from soemthing(hope and fear) which makes us unhappy. In my experience most magicians strengthen this habit thereby making their minds even more negative than that of ordinary people. Later on they often experience great suffering as a result of having harmed others. Some of the magicians I have come across have severe difficulties relating to people and have developed certain psychological disorders (typically bipolar disorders).
Having said this I have also met great beings who are free of the eight worldly concerns and who apply magic for the benefit of beings.
But I guess it is better to first free yourself from the eight worldly dharmas - then supranatural powers (also referred to as ordinary siddhis) will come to you most naturally as a by-product. And even without magical powers your mind is at peace. I do not advocate trying it the other way round: to perform magical deeds such as money, fame and love spells to improve your quality of life. You may end up with money, fame and a partner who is very attached to you but your mind will still be dissatisfied. Sadly, you have wasted your precious human life running after things or running away from things rather than uprooting fear and hope which should have been your primary concern. Your mind will not be at peace and you will die with lots of regrets. Usually magicians have done quite a bit of harm to others in their lives. They don't know much about what they are doing and so it is much about trial and error. I know quite a few people who suffered greatly out of the hands of magicians. A prominent example is Aleister Crowley and his scarlet ladies who ended up with mental disorders and drug abuse. I believe that if your motivation for performing magic is aversion and attachment your stream of consciousness will be negatively affected.
The son asking the minister to pray for the mother deserves the greatest respect in my opinion. Often children can see more clearly when a path is not so good for their parents. The son acted very responsibly. It would have probably been too much for the mother and the little sister to come in touch with the energy fields of ego-driven magic. They would have both had rather difficult experiences.
On the other hand an egocentred mind can become more piable as a result of the trouble and suffering incurred by performing magical deeds. One of my magician friends has caused a lot of problems to people and he is experiencing a lot of suffering as a result. He has realized to some extent that it is not necessarily good to excerce such strong influence.
Churches use invokations and channelings just like people in black magic do..when they ask God to speak though them..or jesus to speak through them our come into them and give them words to say in the srmon...that is channelling...invoking and evoking white magic. Isaiah5:7-8 says"I created evil and I created good for my purpose. Saith the lord"
Angels aren't all aboutcomfort and peace, if you read about them and study their "levels" ( Seraphim, Cheribum and Dominions, Virtues and Powers, Principalities, Archangels and Angels) a lot of them are fierce. Cheribum originally had several faces, not these chubby babies we see. Sometimes Divine messages need to be harsh to get the point across. It's like disciplining a child, often firm is most effective.
Wicked wxperience! Thanks for sharing.
Celtic Magic is really deep, ancient. wierd and can lead to some uncontrollable and dangerous stuff. But as someone else has mentioned in this thread it oftentimes comes down to the practicers mindset while performing the rituals and casting of the spells, etc.. Psychology is a major factor in magic.
On top of that, it can be dangerous in itself to indulge in cultures that you dont understand and dont live in. Not that you shouldn't do it or try to understand other cultures, but it is very very important, that you do your exploration from a sound base. If you lack in cultural strength, you risk getting sweeped off you feet, misunderstands important things and you get very confusted and lost. It is especially important, if you do your exploration all on your own. Overindulgence can lead to dangers.
If you like to know, I myself is of old danish (scandinavian/Norse) descent, and still live in Denmark. I have found great strenght in celtic magic, as some of it directly links to my own culture, nature and geography (some of it doesn't). It has giving me many insights and knowledge, I couldnt have obtained otherwise I guess. But I also know (perhaps because of that), how deep it is and I have often layed it aside because I came to a 'point of no return' so to speak, where going further would lead along life-changing paths, that I wanst sure I wanted to go by. Not that they were evil, I was just unsure about it.
By the way Celtic (and pagan) cultures dont usually divide the creation in to good/evil, that a christian way of thinking. And I dont think it is fruitful to use it in relation to celtic magic. It will make you misinterpret many things and you will never get to the core of celtic magic if you do.
Ok bye.
Angels who guide people will get their messages across in whatever way they need. They can growl, yell, whisper, comfort... Angels know how they need to talk to each person they contact because that's part of their job. They're smart. Some people need an urgent push to understand that what they are doing is harmful. Angels aren't always passive and docile that's not realistic. They fight constantly and thank God they do! Apparently she needed a harsh tone; she didn't obey. But if she felt it was an angel you weren't there to feel him out so you don't know.
You are an absolute imbecile. I can't even begin to fathom how you could possibly function and carry out a normal life.
Meme was heavily influenced by Christian beliefs and it was simply fear taking over. A book on Celtic magic is not evil or bad, neither is it black magic, it is a book, nothing more; it all depends on motive and intent. That book could very well have been used to bring healing to people or to bring money to someone who couldn't afford to feed their kids.
If someone's going to practice Celtic magic then it would be wise to learn about the Celtic spirituality and religion and also free yourself from the Christian concepts of guilt and evil before messing around with the magic.

NOT A ANGEL!!!! its a demon telling you a lie. a angel would never harm someone that quickly for no reason it would have thrown the book. and angels dont growl, they speak with a voice of pureness even in anger
Hi Meme.I don’t know if you still read this blog or not but I hope that you are on the right spiritual path now and that you are at peace with yourself. When I was younger I messed about with candle magic spells tarot cards and general witchcraft stuff, but at the age of 36 I was knocked down by a bus and had a near death experience. This led me to question life, its meaning and the afterlife and I prayed to God with all my heart and asked him for answers. My quest for the truth started with a book called Celtic Angels by Donnald Mckinney (witch I was tracking down when I came across your letter) and it ended with Jesus Christ. My spiritual path has been very interesting with lots of supernatural experiences e.g. visions, dreams, nightmares , voices in my ear , very strange coincidences unexplained happenings, because the devil will do anything to stop you from finding the truth. Most of the time he only has to make you believe that its your imagination because he can easily put thoughts in our head, he is known as the deceiver and the father of all lies. That is why when I learned that Jesus is the king of this world and the next and that he has authority over everything that comes under his light I got down on my knees and said Jesus this world makes no sense to me come into my life and take over for me. I am at total peace with life now and got baptised at a Elim Pentecostal church. p.s if someone gives you a scripture verse always look it up yourself to confirm it and take note of what Jesus said . John 10:10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, I have come that they may have life and have it to the full. Niv translation. May God bless you Meme and your son and the rest of your family.
Love. Dale

I have several dozen books on various forms of magic and spells, including one on Celtic magic, and in the 10 or so years I've had them, have never experienced anything even close to what you described.
I did, however, run out of a bookstore once after a book about an ancient civilization in Mexico literally jumped off the shelf, and when I reached out to catch it, it was HOT. Not warm, but burning hot. Went straight home in a panic, calmed down, then went back and bought the book. Quickly determined I'd lived in that place in a previous life and suffered an especially horrible death, which almost certainly was the reason for the book feeling hot to the touch. Some part of my brain recalling unspeakable pain from only seeing the title as I caught it. No other book has ever caused such a reaction, and nothing "strange" happened after buying it.
Perhaps something similar happened to you in a past life as a Celt, something you weren't ready to be reminded of at the time you bought the book.
Just a thought.
