Ever since I was a child of 4 years old, I have had feelings of being watched. I believe in spirits and I think that's why they come around us. If you don't believe, they don't have much interest in coming around. In other words, they don't feel wanted or comfortable.
For instance, have you ever had an experience where your walking down a hallway, perhaps your own home and felt something or someone behind you? Your own instincts and periphial vision comes out of nowhere and you get goose bumps? Felt like running or just picking up the pace, but felt obligated not to let that feeling make you act frightened?
All my life I've had personal contact with spirits, but couldn't tell just anyone about them, in fear of being ridiculed or laughed at. Some contacts were just black shadows standing still or circling above my bed. Some contacts spoke to me and some were walking right behind me. If your interested in talking more about my detailed experiences, let me know and maybe we'll have some of the same experiences that can help you understand the why's and what to do when you think it's happening to you.

I have had several phenomenal encounters, I was unsure whether to talk to my husband about them or not as he doesnt believe in the spirit world. I have never been afraid of the spirits, as it started when i was very small around age 5 and was more curious than scared. A grandmother, a boyfriend, a parent, even a dog. I was told I have become a door for those who want to communicate, Do you believe this could be true? I gave this same comment to gwensgift. It's amazing to have this experience....I also had an out of body 30 years ago that still is sharp and clear today.
When i was a child I used to see spirits all the time my mother didnt know what was wrong when i used to see them. Now as i got older i don't see them i just feel them. My grandmother told my mom the day that i was born that i was born with a veil over my head. What does that mean? Well i have two boys and my oldest told me that he sees dark shadows.. I know hes not just making it up. My youngest son says he sees things as well... So what do you all think of this?
Coco, Maybe you should research your house and find out if someone died in your house before you moved there. Spirits tend to communicate with children alot more than adults because children don't judge as quick, even though children are good judges of character, children don't have worries like adults do and don't reason with weather the spirit is evil or lost. Spirits come back to where they died, especially when they died suddenly or have unfinished business. If you feel you or your child is being harmed in any way, you just simplay ask them to leave. Never, ever provoke a spirit to appear or speak in a threatening way or they will do something you might regret. I believe weather the spirit is good or evil, you still need to respect the fact that they are present and being nice is easier to deal with than being disrespectful or hateful toward them. If they are evil and hurting you or your children, ask them to leave and if they refuse to or cause alot more havic, then call your priest or hire a medium to come in and do a cleansing of the house, a blessing of your house, in order to protect your home and children.
Most of the spirits I have dealt with don't mean harm and sometimes want to help me through a problem or they want to tell me something. Some spirits like to mess with you, like flicker the lights, open and shut doors, walk around and make noise or make things fall or fly. We've had one here lately, that likes to move things. One night last week, I was watching t.v. and reading email on my laptop and I got up to get another cup of coffee. On my way back to the couch, my coffee started bubbling and spewing out all over me and the couch and I started telling it to quit! I thought at first that I had a leak or crack in the cup so I went to the kitchen sink and poured it out and inspected the cup. I poured more coffee in the same cup and nothing! no leak or crack in it. I knew then it was a spirit. I went in the bedroom and told my husband how upset I was about what happened and as soon as I left the room, stuff from the closet shelf that nobody had messed with or touch in a long time, came flying off the shelf. My husband came running in the livingroom behind me and asked me "What the He** is happening" and told me what happened in the closet. My husband thinks I conjure of spirits when things start happening around the house. The day before all this, I was in the bathroom, doing some business and my husband came in and asked me what time I was going to the store and I looked over at my watch that was lying on the counter and my watch flipped over on it's side. My husband asked me"How'd you do that?" I said I didn't do anything. It freaked me out too. The other day, my daughter, 18, came in from being at a friend's house and set her purse on her dresser and came in the livingroom. I told her to put up her shoes she just kicked off in the floor and she took her shoes to her room and said as soon as she walked in, her purse jumped off the dresser. I told her it was probably the way she sat her purse down, but she "No Mom, it was set way back on the dresser and didn't roll off because of the weight of the purse, it JUMPED off." She was screaming and running down the hall so fast, I thought the house was on fire.
Whenever something happens around here, I just talk to the spirit and ask it to quit and sometimes get onto them. My t.v. comes on by itself, the microwave beeps like somethings in there and the timer's going off, the commode seat slams down, the lights flicker, all kinds of simple stuff and has for the past 18 years I've lived here. After all the research, I found out that my house sits on land where Apache Indians used to live in the 1800-1900's and pioneers lived here, but can't find evidence of a cemetary here or abandonded burial. The don't harm us, just like to get attention once in a while. I'm the only one that is used to it, and my husband and daughter and anyone else that comes over here, freaks out and I laugh. And oh yeah, the cat and two dogs we have, notice when they see something and growl at it. Sorry this is so long, I'm here to answer whatever questions you have. Don't worry and don't be scared, just talk to them and tell them "If your of good, you can stay but if your of evil, then I bid you to leave in the sweet name of Jesus!" and they will do just that!
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night and I hear my name being called or sentences and names pop into my head. Recently I was woken up at 2am in my college dorm and I noticed a young male sitting at the end of my bed and he clearly said "My name is Justin can you tell my friend Bryan I say Hi." I always wondered if that was just my mind or people have had the same thing as me.

Yes, I beleive it's true and it happens to me all the time. I beleive if a spirit beleives or feels that you are the one they need to use to communicate to someone on earth, then they will try to communicate to you as gentle as possible as to leave you wondering, rather than alarm you to the shock of audio clarvoiance or seeing them in full body. It's like they know what your more likely to deal with and don't want to scare you. At least the nice ones feel that way. Don't be fooled by every spirit you ever come across though. The evil ones also know you and how you might react and they can choose either to fool you into thinking they are nice and then some don't care what scares you and will let you know right away! Usually if you are invading there space or where they died, but most of the time, we don't purposely call on the evil spirits nor do I go invading their space at least not on purpose. The thing that helps me is to write down everything you encounter the next morning and sometimes when you least expect it, the names will come up, not always right away, but what you experienced will show itself in a deja vu type day and you'll be glad you wrote it down. If you want to experience it more often, let it be known to them to use you, but forbid the evil to come anywhere around you! The dark ones always visit me. The good ones come too. last night I asked the good ones to protect me from the dark ones because they were frightening me. The good ones did protect me and I was able to fall asleep. The dark ones are tricky and know that I can feel them so they like to bother me. I just recently learned how to get them to leave, and i always have to ask for help. i send out a strong prayer for help... it always works. Sometimes they try to get into me when I'm asleep and i wake up not able to breath and my vision has changed. I can't see right, they want to smother me. I have a way of making them leave, but I get afraid to go back to sleep. They drain me emotionally and I hate them. The good ones are always fun to interact with they make me laugh and they sometimes tell me to tell someone hi or something nice. I like it when they do that. Ihave had this gift since I was born, but a couple years ago i was pronounced dead and brought back to life a few times. the things I experienced were amazing a frightening! However I'm aware of things most people can't see and when I tell some people a message they sometimes don't want to hear it. I think that sad. It's nice to see someone else experiences what I do.
I have had some weird experiances with spirits.
At work, a girl died in the 1800's and where she died, everyone at my work feels a spirit presence.I walked into the room that seems to have most activity in, for the first time and i felt as if someone was pushing my out by my chest, and i felt like they were choking me. I pushed through the energy and force that was pushing me back and stood in the middle of the room and i felt very clostrophobic.
I also heard children laughing and playing and when i told my boss she said she also hears it when she goes into the building and so does another one of my collegues.
did a spirit try to contact me or was it just my imagenation?

Hi Gemma and Thanks for sharing! Sometimes people have contact with spirits in the way that a spirit is trying to show you how she died herself. She may have trusted you enough and knew that you were the right person to communicate with. Even though the experience must have been terrifying for you, you might concider going back to talk to her and ask for protection first, let her know you are there to help her and not there to bring her any harm. If you do ask her to make her presence known, you have to be brave and be in the state of mind that she trusted you enough in the first place to communicate with you even though you felt she was trying to hurt you. She might have just been asking you for help by showing you how she died. Maybe your boss could help you by asking the guys from "Ghost hunters" TAPS to come out and investigate. If you do investigate yourself, bring a tape recorder and maybe you can pick up some EVP's and find out more! Good luck and let me know if you decide to do this.
Hi Tammy! Thanks for sharing your experiences! Sometimes, bad spirits think that if they come to you in a fooling good way, they can get to you even more. They know when your terrified and they know what you beleive. If I feel at times that I may not know the right prayer to say to them for protection or for them to feel intimidated enough to go away, I tell them "If you are of good you can stay, but if you are of evil, then I bid you to leave in the sweet name of Jesus!" It works for me! Don't show your fear, just pray out loud and mean it. They don't like to be preached to or told to leave but will bid your will at least for the time being. Put a cross beside your bed, or on your wall or under your pillow and tell yourself you are protected and thank the angels and god for protection every night before you go to sleep. As long as "Your" not provoking bad spirits, they have no reason to come or stay around you. We all have to careful of what we say and wish for in life cause you never know what or who is around you listening to you!! Take care and come again.

funny you say that because we have contacted a paranormal investigation team, and they have been in to have a look around, and we are making a night of it at our pub with them in april sometime. They did come in for a look about and they said they didnt like the room that this happened to me in, they said they can see a small girl about 12 years old, which would make sense because we know she was young and i am 15, so she may have been able to look up to me in a sisterly way. Also, a man that always stays overnight in that room, says that he always see's a little girl in the room about 11-12 years of age.I am going back to the room to see if my friend and mum can feel anything soon. i am going to blind fold them to see which room they feel a spirit presence in, but i am uncomertable with asking for her protection.
I will let you know what they say and what the investigation team say.

Hi Gemma! Yes it is possible for you to be a medium or be clairvoyaint because everybody is made of energy. Alot of things you have in your house or place of work has energy in it, like anything with lights, electricity, batteries, anything of that sort, but our bodies also generate energy.
I'm glad you are having an investigating team come to your place to see what is there! Please remember to ask God, your angels, whatever entity you beleive in, for protection, before you start your investigation, in case what is there, is of evil. Try to make it a group prayer if you can. Spirits come in the form of ANYTHING OR ANYONE, and can come in the appearance of a child when they are really older people who have passed! Do some investigating about the history of the place at your city hall, like deaths, births, buildings, cemetaries, obituaries, anthing about the town history that has to do with your building. Someone could have died there, the building should have some sort of history and whatever the investigators find through spirit readings, could very well match up what history you find at the city hall or public records.
In order to enhance your perception of spirits, you have to have a strong faith in your God you worship, a strong heart, open mind, write everything down as you dream it and wake up first thing in the morning, and ask for protection. They say you should eat right, pure foods, no junk food and be stress free. Only state facts and be sure not to exagerate what you think you saw, heard or felt. That way, what you do experience will be more and more clear. the best way to analize everything is to write it down. I wish I hadn't been so suprised at my neighbor who died, appearing to me that night to say hello and I paniced in surprise and screamed and ran. I really misssed her and wish I could have stayed there with her a lot longer to tell her I loved her. I still talk to her and tell her I love her.
Be careful and take someone else with you. Any negative influences of conteracting with spirits, like being with people who don't believe at heart, the spirits will not want much to do with you, unless they are telling you to get out. Oh ya, use a tape recorder of any kind if you can and as much as you can. Spirits can speak at a range into the tape recorder at a level we don't always hear and some investigators use an EVP recorder, but sometimes a regular tape recorder works. If you ask the spirit to speak, touch you, or make their presence known to you, only ask one question or request at a time, giving them enough time to respond. They don't like to be rushed or harrassed! Let them know that you are not there to harm them or ridicule them, just there to help them. One night if you get a chance, leave a pen or pencil beside a piece of paper or notebook for them to write down any messages they might have, leave it by your bedside or dresser and you just might get one! And...don't provoke a spirit, EVER! Don't call them names, threaten them or dare them. The more they feel they can trust you and see what's in your heart of intentions, the more they will communicate with you!

Thanks for your response! I tried what you said and it really helps. i told myself lately I wasn't going to pay attention to any of them. Then I went to NY for spring break AND I went to ground zero. I should of known better. There was so much energy there!!!! I started a three hour tour of ground zero and when we got down to the site IT HIT ME. I tried to hide what was happening to me, but someone noticed my face going pale and said they see it to. OK so I was overwhelmed by the end because there were times in the tour in which i could hardly breath! I felt like someone was screaming in my head and wouldn't stop. It was awful.. Then I would feel lost, then I would cry for no reason. I could feel everyone of them and they knew it. Some where happy and full of working energy like they were busy doing something and there were the opposite 2. You know what I mean? I went one other time in 2002 right after it happened and as soon as I got to the street I had to turn around a leave. I could feel nothing but a mass wave of negative energy. I was in shock. This time however was very different, it's as if some of them know where and what they are and others can't seem to let go of that day. STUCK. It was so weird... I have never felt anything like this. It still haunts me. There is a building next to the site that is being torn down... Something about it... something is not right. I couldn't stop looking at it. And the church across the street... I felt like is was taking away from the glory from the sprits. When I 'm in in the church I feel cheated and hurt. Does all this make since? Doesn't to me... I was so tired after the tour I went back to the hotel and slept for three hours. VERY UNLIKE me... I loved those towers... those screams and my my head oh it was so loud and hurt so bad. Some still want to escape. I can't write anymore about it. I can still feel them and hear them. What do you think? Have you been?

I'm sorry you had such a bad experience at Ground Zero! If I lived anywhere near New York, I might concider going there, but yes, there is alot of energy and even people who don't normally have connection with the Spirit world, would have experiences with the Spirits who died there, because of the mass confusion of death in such a short period of time! Yes there probably are alot of lost souls if they haven't accepted Jesus and I'm sure nobody who died there was ready to go on to the other side, but before you go, as a good example, you have to know what's in your heart of hearts when you die and be prepared. None of us ever know when that day will come, so it teaches us to always be ready.
Did you pray for the souls while you were there? I probably would have worn a cross around my neck to ward off evil spirits, but everyone there deserves a prayer. Maybe you should'nt go there for a while Tammy. Your very sensitive and the spirits can feel it and will do anything they can to drain you of energy for their own benefit. Take care of yourself and let me know of any other activity you notice. I hope you left those spirits there at Ground Zero and they didn't come home with you. Be strong! Pray!
LOL I hope they stayed there!!! LOL I wasn't expecting for all that to happen! It just did. Sometimes I forget that I am sensitive to them and I let my guard down. I tried not to acknowledge them guess it didn't work. I just received a cross from a friend and I think I'm going to start wearing it ALL the time. LOL I didn't pray for the souls but I will! Thanks for your help! I don't really understand most of what I experience and your right It leaves me feeling drained and it sucks! I never knew that they want my energy, I never looked at it like that. I had an episode yesterday and I felt like someone was trying to stick their fist down my throat. Then I felt dizzy and confused. Something of an angry feeling. Then the rest of the day I was wiped out. Like fatigue set in. This is not like me. I'm full of energy! A big ball of excitement. I have two little girls and I'm always on my toes playing with them. Yesterday when I was giving them their snack is when it happened. Some people may say well go see your doctor, and at one point in my life I thought I was crazy. i went and told a shrink and he said as long as they don't tell me do anything bad there is nothing wrong with me. OK WEIRD i had a chuckle. I told him... " I don't talk to or see fake people I just feel them and see their light at times." He said that's normal some people operate at a higher frequency than others. SO doc says I'm not crazy husband says don't talk to him about it, it gives him the creeps. I have a saying since I've been contacted by spirits since the age of 4. I never felt as CRAZY as the people in the Baptist Church I grew up in that don't beleive in spirits, but swear that, ironically since it's Good Friday, that Jesus died and came back Easter, three days later, from the dead. My saying is " I am not the same as people who are different." Meaning, I only know how to be me and I only believe in the bible, not what other people feel that the bible says to be true. These people here on earth will die one day, just like me, and will have to answer for not what I do or have done, but for what they chose to do with their lives and beliefs, so if they have a problem with me, then they have a personal problem, because no where in the bible does it say that you have to please not a soul here on earth, but the Lord God almighty, not all the Nosy, judgemental, contradicting , back stabbing, fake Christians, who are saved by the grace of God, just like me! Thank you very much...lol! I'm sorry , but I have never beleived in organized religion. To me it's almost communist! It's your own soul you have to save and judge and justify when you die, not the neighbor, even though you should love them as Jesus did. So....if you beleive in spirits and tell others how much Jesus loved them so much that he died on the cross for their sins, let them tell you who else on earth would do that for you. Jesus might have been a mortal man walking on earth, but to us Christians, he was a saviour and he loves us more than any other mortal we will ever meet in this life time. No you are not Crazy Tammy!!!! You are who you are and Jesus is a spirit that will never leave you!!! Beleive it cause the bible will tell you so. Bless you! You are wonderful!
I've had two experiences so far- both while I was between waking and sleep. Both times I felt my body completely overwhelmed with sensation- tingling and prickling all over followed by a more tangible physical encounter. The first time, I felt someone sit down on the bed, and just last night, I felt my head being pressed into the pillow. Last time I heard a man's voice, but this time I just felt very strongly that someone was standing near me, watching and maybe touching me, as my face felt like it was "waving"- or like something was moving through it. (have you ever looked in the crazy wavy mirrors? That's how my face felt and I hadn't taken any suspicious drugs :)!) I don't want to be afraid, because I want this awareness to stay with me, but I don't know how to deal with it in the moment. Both times i've just frozen in place, refusing to turn around or look where I feel the presence. I don't necessarily want the spirit to leave, but I would like to know more about him or her. What do you suggest?
Well, you have to know if you feel fearful because it's a spirit or if your fearful because you sense harm. If you don't feel in harm's way, then patiently ask questions and be open minded. Wait for answers even if they come the next time they show up and don't threaten them with words or screaming in fear.
It helps to write things down that you experience. Tell the spirit that "You" mean no harm if they would like to tell you anything they might want to share with you.
It all depends on what you are willing to experience with spirits. They can feel your fear and somehow know what we fear and are willing to experience. Stay calm if you want them to communicate. If you are willing to experience clairaudio, don't say anything or ask questions during the process of them communicating. One thing you can do is turn on a tape recorder and ask questions or leave a piece of paper and pen for them to write things down. Let them know what it's for and who knows you might find out what they want.

i have always had thing happen to me when i was little i had twin friends and my dads girlfriend passed away and i was in the kitchen and felt like someone was standing beside me that was when she passed away i wreaked my 4 wheeler and had a seziure and my grandmother came to me and told me i would be ok i had something happen to me i had never had before a black shadow was in my face at night for 20 min i was told i should have asked it what it wanted has anyone ever asked one and had it answer
Recently, after a traumatic event I had a series of contacts made to me. I am not sure why exactly. I was drawn to a person who owned a certain house, we dated briefly and I visited this house, when I was there I sensed a deep feeling of pain that had no explanation, especially in the back path toward the shed. Later on, my former boyfriend explained that the previous owner had committed suicide by hanging himself in the shed. I was also contacted by a deceased psychic who seemed to have lived in the New Orleans area, and was able to inform me about various events. She became too much for me to deal with however and I had to ask her to leave. I have also been contacted by my grandfather on a couple of occasions, only when there was an urgent family issue, or safety warning.
Hi everyone, I believe I have just had an experience with a spirit, but I am looking for opinions of those who know what it feels like to confirm that I'm not just going insane. In the past I have never had beliefs (or disbeliefs) in spirits, it was not something I thought heavily on. About a year ago, I had someone who was very close to me pass away, and I never really felt that I emotionally processed it. It was the strangest thing because, although he was one of the most important people to me, I didn't cry or greive at all, I didn't feel like I was supressing an urge to or anything, I just didn't want to. Anyhow, I've been thinking about it all a lot lately, especially last night.
Now, just maybe an hour ago I was lying in my bed looking out the window and right in the middle of the black sky there was one star, and for some reason I felt my eyes were drawn towards it. I felt the presence of the one I had lost, and eventually as I stared at the star my eyes teared up (although not out of sadness, it was another strange emotionless happening) then when they cleared I began to see a blur in my vision. It would move around and at one point it seemed to get close to me and I felt something as if it was touching me, but not in a normal physical way (odd to describe).
I kept getting the sensation for a bit and then it stopped. Then I began to hear a faint whistling, similar to the sound of a flute, but it is freezing cold where I live, so I know nobody was outside playing the flute. Then at the very end of my experience I heard a sort of human yelp but not one that any living human I've met could make. I looked out at the sky again and the star was gone. It doesn't sound similar to anyone else's stories but I want to know what people think.
Oh, and FYI, I am not ususally the type to believe anything like this, the feeling was just so strong. I don't think I'm insane but I'd love to hear what you think.
Hello! Thanks for sharing what your experiences have been. I have had a sense of spirits interacting with me since I was a child, and in my adult life there has been a sharp increase in these occurences over the last 8 months or so. I get a strong sense of two different spirits. One has been interacting with me since I was 14 (16 years ago). It manifests itself in a strong tapping on my shoulder. It would happen once every few months, and it now happens a couple times a week - in one day it tapped my shoulder, the back of my leg (HARD), and then ran into me forcing me to bump into my counter. I never had a bad feeling about it - I just felt it was trying to get my attention for some reason.
The second one began about 18 months ago. I would feel a warm hand on my arm, normally while i was getting ready for work. I would stop moving and it would stay there for almost a minute. After a while it began to stroke my arm. Then a few months ago I would wake up every now and then and feel the warm hand on my chest, and recently I would feel the warm hand on my lower back as I was walking. Very comforting. Just today as I was getting ready to leave the house I felt a locaized warm spot on my back, like a hand, and out loud I said 'if that's you, please localize where I feel you and make it warmer, so I know it's you.' Within seconds the spot narrowed down to just larger than a golf ball and was SCORCHING hot. After about 30 seconds I put my hand on my back and everywhere was cold except for that spot in the dead center of my back which was very very hot.
Do you have any idea why these things happen? Or how I can open up to it more? I am struggling because I don't know how to process these interactions, or what the larger meaning is.

Great hub. I am 100 % sure that we can contact spirits.. as we need physicle senses to percieve, similarly we need developed subtle senses for this. Spiritual research has shown a lot and some of the glimpses are on my hub. Do see them and drop in your comments

I have always been sensitive to the different things around me. I was told by my mother that it has been passed down in my family. she says that each of the first born in each generation has it. How true this is I don't know. What I do know is that for as long as I can remember I have seen things that others haven't. I used to be able to see them better but as I have gotten older don't see them as well. I see fuzzy outlines and shading mostly now. I still know that they are there and can feel them with no problem. I know that I have a spiritual guardian who has saved me before. Once when I was about ten I wrecked my bike and broke an arm I was pinned under it and could not get up or out of the ditch I had landed in. All of a sudden a tall man in clothes that did not fit the period appears and helps me up. I did not think about it at the time but before I could say thank you he was gone. The other time I was asleep at my mothers house and my covers were ripped off of me. I freaked and pulled them back up over me only to have them pulled off again. I ran through the house screaming. The next morning we found out that someone had been trying to break into our house and apparently my screaming had caused them to flee. my mother thinks that the spirit is that of my great great grandfather whom was a native American spiritual elder. I don't know if this is true or not but I do know he has always been around. I was just wondering i anyone had any ideas. Also I don't know if this is anything or not but since I was little I have always been extremely hot and almost feel like I am an energy sponge so to speak. I feel like I can actually funnel it in a way. When ever I use to much of it though or come into contact with a spirit it is like it is all be leached from me and I become extremely cold. I have learned to almost use it like a shield and can send it out if I need to but them I am completely drained. I have been so scared a few times by a few of the ones that felt well wrong not nice so to speak and I just used all my enregy at once like a mini explosion of energy. it seems to drive them off. that is all I really know I don't know really know what is going on with this gift or what I can and can't do with it.

ive had many paranormal experiance wiht spirits and demons. when i was little i was laying in bed i just truend the tv off and i looked at my door and i say a couple in my doorway like my parents but only my parents were snoring in bed. and i have a dog who was with me in my room and was looking at the fan and starting parking for no reason and staying right in front of me. and about thre years ago i was at my grandparents and i was about to head to bed and out of no where i heard a demonic laugh. ever sense i was born i could sense things more than anything. you see i was never even sapposed to be born and i was but my heart stopped and i died for a minute or two. now i think i have a conection to the spirit world bc it seem like there tryig to contact me to help or something. and my dreams are weirder than ever like the spirits are trying to show who i was sapposed to be but in a earliry time. ive always sensed them you know when u all of sudden start to get hot and ur body stiffens and ur cover with goosebumps and ur afraid to get up thats how i feel and i know for a fact that somethings around. im in love with the spirit world and i know alot about it i do know the names of the demons but not the spirits but i can help. if u have any questions plz contact me i can help.
I have always been sensitive to spirits, and have been contacted many, many times over the years, the problem I am having is that everyone who has contacted me to relay a message in the past was someone I knew well, and the message was for someone close to me. In January I was contacted by the mother of someone I work with, not someone I am close enough to, to feel comfortable relaying the message. I have been trying to avoid relaying the message for fear of ridicule, but as of late she has become more persistent, and my husband has heard her and seen her, as well as one of our house guests. I really need to tell him, but don'y quite know how. Any suggestions?
well where to start....i like some other posters on here believe that i have just had my first experience...my family are big on mediums and such but i am very synical/sceptical by nature and prefer to work with evidence that i can quantify measure and see rather than instincts, feelings and factors that are open to interpretation....however what i have just experienced and to a degree still am is one of the most bizarre feelings i've ever had. i was in bed at my brothers house about 2am and i started to speak with god or a god like presence in my head to ask for help and support im making key life changing decisions that i feel i have to make...(im not even certain i believe in god either which makes this strange although when i go to bed i often talk to someone) anyway for the best part of 3-4 hours i have been feeling the strangest sensations (not all good) i feel very cold...i have been getting frequent cold shivers....at the beginning of the experience i felt relaxed and comforted even liberated but in a flash the whole episode turned into fear when i had an image in my head of a skull with a black background that shocked me and was very unexpected....for 30mins i was quite scared and wasnt sure what to do...so for no reason other than to try and come to terms with what was happening i decided to get up and have some food to relax...again for a reason i cant explain i felt compelled to swith on the laptop. i looked up on google images skull with black background and on page 5 or 6 i found a skull that strongly resembled the 1 in my mind....i knew straight away because i had the sharpest of cold shivers and tears filled my eyes (and not from crying) from here i have been looking on the internet for more clues, i have wrote everything down and thats whats led me to this web sight....i feel i need help in trying to understand this experience ..... what is the best course of action in your experiences please...i dont feel secure in sleeping and now it is 6AM im not sure if it is just cold but i still feel cold down my neck and back which at times when i'm replaying this experience back in my head comes on very strong. im 90% certain i've experiened something tonight but theres still 10% thats telling my its just my state of mind and i'm getting caught up in the moment emotionally hence the sensations....this sight is naturally going to be subjective but what do you think might have happened please

I came on this site because I wanted to see if anyone else has this experience: Sometimes when I am in that twilight state between wakefulness and sleep something happens. I feel this tremendous loud buzzing sound in my head and then my whole body feels it. Then I may see some scary faces or images in my head or a really scary dream like scene. Sometimes it feels like there is a pushing against me, and it feels hostile and male. A couple of times the pushing got so intense that I had to yell at the spirit in my head to leave me alone. I didn't want to yell out loud because I didn't want to scare my husband. This used to happen only occasionally, but now is more often. When it starts I always let it in because the sensations are not all unpleasant, and I am curious as to where they will take me. I seem to be able to stop it when it gets too scary. I think it is a spirit or spirits. Does this happen to anyone else?
Yes I've felt the exact same thing. I sometimes see where it takes me too because i've learned to control it and force myself to wake up quickly. It is a bit draining. What worries me most though is that I feel this presence trying to touch me sexually and it does not feel good at all. I'm not sure what it is, it really scares me and makes me feel guilty and disgusting. Ugh.

My experiences are I can sense when people are thinking of me or invading my space. I feel this intense pressure in my chest, sometimes it is light sometimes it is very heavy to the point i can not breathe properly. Those I think are negative. I have felt myself being hugged or my cheek touched. I dont know what it is or who is it or why me. I wish I knew why me and for what reason. I am not special just trying to survive life and do the best i can.

Hey...lately I've been having some strang-ish experiences going on at my house. One night I was using my younger brother Matthews night vision goggles, and I looked down our hallway. I saw what looked like an orb fly from the bathroom to the roof. Then when I took them off I looked down the hallway and I saw a man. A man! He was just standing there. And the only people that were home were my two brothers, my friend and I. And we were all in the one room. Another one was that I've seen a woman, many times. She's the one I see most. She looks like she's in her 30's, she's blonde, tall, and quite pretty. And she wears a brown hat. I know I'm not going crazy because my brother has seen the same two people. He sees them often too. I also always have the feeling of being watched, and recently (maybe the past 2 weeks), I've been getting the chills. Its kinda weird. See, it's not that I'm scared, it's just that I don't what to do. Should I talk to them? Or is there a better way? I'm moving, but David tells me that he saw someone there too. What do I do?
And oh one more question....kinda weird....should I feel akward about getting undressed if there is something here?...because that kinda creeps me out aha..

hi, my grandpa passed away july 21st 2007, and i had a babygirl sept 26th 2009 and she talks to someone and laughs and says papa in this one area of my house, then she says love and kisses me, recently my fried stayed the night and stayed on the couch, she woke up, and saw a man standing by my door smiled at her then went in my room, do you think this is my grandpa, why cant i see him. Id really like to see and or talk to him, any advice?
iv looked into it just sitting in the room where your daughter see's him and shut the lights off and leave one candle on and say these word sprit i would like to talk to you , give me a sign that your here it might stay quiet for a few mins but listen for a sound or if you get a cold shiver up your back that mean has there you can ask it questions too. but the best time to do this at is 3 am , 3am is when the sprit world opens up so ya good luck post back if any luck.
I'm not sure what's going on with me, but sometimes I'll be sitting in my room facing away from the door and I'll get chills and the hair on the back of my neck stands up. Sometimes, I'll turn around and someone has quietly entered my room or it's my dad trying to scare me and I feel them in the room with me, it's like the atmosphere shifts. Sometimes though, I'll turn around and no one's in the room. My friend passed away traumatically in May, and every night for a few weeks I'd talk to her and ask her to let me know she was okay, since we'd gotten into a fight and had never made up before she passed. One night I was awoken around 3-4am by my little dog who usually sleeps well throughout the night scratching and crying at my door (which was shut). She would claw at it, then run and hide under my bed for a little bit, then repeat. I was too scared to open the door. Months later I was at her parent's house and came across the diary she had written in literally days before she died, and while I was reading it, I got the hairs on my neck feeling. It overwhelmed me so much I had to put the diary away and leave the room. Am I believing what I want to believe or is this really something?
i want to know if anyone knows that if it possible that my current boyfriends deceased girlfriend was trying to contact me. I have been confused and bewildered by an experience of mine for years. I was hoping someone might be able to clear my head about it.
I was over at my best friend's grandfathers house. His wife had Alzheimers and had recently passed. I had been coming to this house for quite a while; me and this girl grew up together. I have memories of her grandma in a nightgown and slippers shuffling her feet throughout the house and mumbling. She never knew me, because of the disease but i was always there.
Anyways, one day i went over again. I ended up sick with something and took some cough and cold medicine, layed down on the couch and took a nap. I kept waking up periodically; the medicine made me feel weird and it was hard to sleep. I thought I woke up one time to someone calling my name. I sat up on the couch and looked behind me, and there was my friend's grandmother standing before me smiling so softly down at me! She looked wonderful! Her make up was done up, she wore jewelry, and was dressed up like she was going to church. She said, "Can you do me a favor and tell Haley I love her very much?" I said yes of course, and she bent down and gave me a hug. She walked into her old bedroom and shut the door. I just layed back down and went to sleep again.
When I woke back up, I was so confused. I thought surely it must have been a dream. But the more I thought about it the more creeped out I got. I ended up telling my friend about what happened. She just cried and told me I was crazy and to not ever talk to her about her grandmother again. Not only that but she took my cold medicine and threw it away.
I know cough and cold medicine doesn't make you hallucinate, but I don't know. I just don't know what to make of it. Was it a drug induced hallucination? Or did her spirit actually manifest and communicate with me?

I don’t believe that your experience was an illusion due to the medicine as such, but the vision of your friend’s grandmother was most likely caused by the drowsiness of your sickness and sleep. Because we are not normally aware of the spiritual world due to the fact that we are to wrapped up in our own materialistic/secular world and the mind only focuses on what it can see and what it knows. But because of your drowsy and subconscious state of mind you were able to see the spirit world briefly.
You should not be worried about this incident, but you should treasure it. You friends grandmother most likely knew who you were and that is why she gave you a hug, because she was not able to give you one when she was alive just like maybe she never told Haley how much she loved her, but now she had the chance and sympathised with your suffering so she wanted to comfort you. That’s why I’m sure it gave her much joy and comfort as well.
